conffessions of the soul

Seeing the past in the eyes of a lost lamb, you realize that you cant change you past. No matter how bad nor evil it was. But why does god allow things to affect you even still in the present? This is a question thats bothered me for a long time now, and even though i dont have an answer, i can say this. Im starting to beleave that if you or even myself, who are weak, with temptations of the heart, who can hear the voice of satan calling out for us to follow and do things we would like to do, to remember the heartache that it caused. The troubles it took us to get out of that pit. I asked my mother why i kept going in circles of doing the wrong things in my life, and the answer was so simple and easy, "its always easier to take the easy way, we just dont look ahead before we do it." Now Im starting to think better, to look at the prospect and laugh, not at the advise but at satan. C.s Lewis wrote once that to rid ourselves of our demons and satan is to mock evil. They dont like being mocked, it upsets them, We as christians should be better than that, We should be able to walk into a prison and hear the deepest confessions even though evil. And tell that person, its ok im not going to judge you. How many of you reading this, trully listen to others when they try to release whats built up inside them? How many of you would like to tell your brothers and sisters of christ who you are and what you have done instead of hiding it from the world. That is what destroys churches, eveyone has so much built up inside themselves, it becomes a a burden, and then evil comes and shadows your soul. Next time your with your group, stand up, and say "everyone i would like to be honest, i have somthing to say" by doing this you are allowing your friends to a closer friendship and a closer friendship with god. Rember god isn't just in the heavens he is inside us all. in your bible study, and even in your pets. give a shot,
